A BIT ABOUT ME
Hi - A brief Biography
I was born in 1964, a while ago. I grew up inSompting, then Shoreham -by- sea in West Sussex, where I am now living with my 8-year-old son. I had many troubles as a youngster which lead me to have many incorrect beliefs and a distorted view of life; this included an unhealthy social life and a physical training routine that was crazy. I enjoyed myself at the time (or thought I did) but things got bad and when my girlfriend Anita committed suicide, I decided that it was time to change things around. So off I went to Asia. I was at about 35years old.
I eventually settled down on The Phi Phi Islands in Thailand, I had become a PADI diving instructor and was running a Diving business for a Thai company. I had developed this virtually from scratch, with the help of others into what now is a very successful business. I had the misfortune to be involved in the 2004 tsunami where a boat had made the grand entrance through my accommodations doorway.
After the cleanup, business resumed nearly as normal until I had a diving accident with dirty air. I had been with some students and had led them safely to the surface including the desired safety stop. I was extremely ill and had to spend time in hospital on oxygen. The accident was eventually the reason I gave up diving as anything below ten metres caused me anxiety. A year or so later I left the business which got taken over by a good friend of mine, Trevor who managed Longbeach Divers until recently.
After a brief period in the UK, I returned to Thailand where I met my Sons mother, Noi. We lived on a 5-acre smallholding which eventually developed into a pig breeding unit; we did everything from building to veterinary treatment & breeding. I thought that was where I was staying for my remaining days. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be, and a huge amount of farmers were wiped out by the government policy on pork sale pricing, which devalued our stock to the extent where we threw the towel in, as most farmers did. The price was to stay very low for two years more, and we could never have survived. Over 90% of small farmers didn't.
I was to return to the UK in August 2013 with our 4-year-old son. Noi and my stepdaughter San were meant to join us, but it hasn't as yet worked out.. more about this later.
I struggled with emotional trauma which was enhanced by a short relapse into addictive behaviour. (Now I am pleased to say, well in the past). Through techniques that I will later describe, I have been able to overcome all.
This website "Lifeaction" was at the start of my recovery, and where my keen interest in personal development begun, as I realised I needed to re-evaluate my life. as the site has grown, it has been a reflection of my actions and has evolved with me
I am now active, responsive, motivated and pursuing my success, the Facebook group that I have helped set up and administrate has an incredible 2800 members.
